Easter

Easter is a beautiful holiday.  I enjoy it for many reasons.  It helps me reflect and contemplate my religion.  It reminds me that winter is over, which for me is a celebration.  It is a relatively calm holiday, which I also appreciate.  And now, being a parent it is fun.  I love watching the dying of eggs and the search for candy.  And as evident by the kids pictures, they are so glad to be outside with beautiful things that they don't sit still very well for a photo.  That's okay.  It's childhood.
this is miss E at 2 years old.  she stopped long enough to get this, but no smile, no matter what I did.
Miss A at 5 years old.  She cracks me up when smiling for photos.  She'll tuck her chin into her chest and give me crazy eyes - and it's her 'normal' smile for pictures.
This is what 95% of the pictures looked like.  One child completely uninvolved and the other child - the eldest - she'd look at the camera and when I said, "smile" she'd immediately look to the side. odd.

Oh, a word on their dresses - I told my mom I thought they would be cute in muumuu's.  So she made these.  They were soft, comfy, airy, playful and really cute.  I'm glad I've got a talented mother.

I adore the dresses. Ric rac is so cute and so underused! I want to put it on everything for little girls!
