Independence Day

This year, on the 4th of July, Colorado had a moratorium on all fireworks due to the excessive amounts of wildfires.  So in lieu of fireworks, we had a glow stick BBQ.  Lots of food and kids playing outside followed by a glowstick dance party in the basement, complete with a black light.  That was then followed by DC fireworks on TV with ice cream cones.  It was a lot of fun and although I still like fireworks to celebrate our really great country, it forced me to try something new and it was a good time.
