happy birthday baby girl

She's one today - I think that the first birthday is more for the mamma than the kiddo. It's been a painful year,  a beautiful time and so so much joy.  This little girl has saved many people this year from being swallowed by sadness.  She has helped me love motherhood just one step more than before.  She is her own person and surprises me with that.
Things she's doing:
eating every food - no allergies for this one.  Her favorite is yogurt and cheese
walking - crawling is for pansies.
she likes to peruse through the trash for things to chew on. gross.
she'll keep a toy in her hand for an hour, just carrying it around so she can chew on it occasionally.
She has 5 teeth - for a very lopsided mouth
She growls and has since day 1. She does it when she's mad
Her cry has always been unique.  It used to sound like a baby seagull and sometimes, when she's hurt, it still does.
She likes to blow zerbits on the leather couch and on my face.
When she's done eating, spitting is in order.
She's an outdoor girl.  She loves being outside, and walking in the grass barefoot is something new - small pleasures.
bathtime was once sad and is now the best.  she almost dives in when the water starts, and when I open the drain, she starts the manic panic move out of the tub.
waving is new this week.  two hands waving to herself
I just love her.  She snuggles me sometimes.  She plays with me.  She smiles at me.  She enjoys her family.  She busts a move when she hears her dad come home.  She follows big sister around now.
