sleeping hands
When Miss E is tired, she assumes the sleeping hands position. It involves the fists pulled up to her chest. She doesn't want them moved or touched and she'll hold them there until she is relaxed and asleep. I think it's darling and a non-verbal way that she says, "Mom, I'm tired and this is all too much."

Look at her sweet furrowed brow! And those little chipmunk hands. So sweet! One of mu kids did that, too. ...Wish I could remember which one it was... I've already turned into my Mom who starts a story about one of us kids and then changes which kid the story is about at least 3 times during the telling of it.
